For Julius Blum GmbH, a very special challenge had to be solved: As the world’s leading manufacturer of kitchen and furniture fittings, perfection is expected in everything. This applies not only to the products, but of course also to the brand and trade fair presentation.
Inviting and spectacular, Blum’s trade fair stand covers almost 1700m² and features the latest developments in functionality and convenience in the field of furniture and kitchen fittings. Combinations of different materials and looks create a unique overall concept.
A booth that invites visitors to explore and linger
Open, close, try out. Understanding in detail what Blum moves – and best of all with all senses. Precisely coordinated thematic areas along the visitor route invite visitors to explore. For the technical aspect of the fittings, detailed demonstration objects are set up; here, the focus is on trying out and visualizing the function. Technical interrelationships are illustrated by 3D animations and interactive functional displays. A separate service area with sample production and advice is dedicated to processing in furniture production.

A sophisticated concept to guide visitors through the booth
However, visitors should not feel emotionally lost in the midst of the flood of technical information. We have succeeded in doing this by presenting exemplary living situations of people in different age and life phases, from simple, imaginative solutions to a classic, luxurious ambience. Curiously, you can move through the living worlds of three fictitious couples in Barcelona, Berlin and Singapore and experience the amazing features and the enormous variety of Blum components in their application.

Sustainable and modular trade show design that can be reused over and over again.
Sustainability and digitalization run like a thread through the entire project. Already in the design phase, attention was paid to long-term reusability and resource-saving design. As a result, the modular aluminum shell of the exhibition stand is designed to be lightweight and flexible, and can also be used at smaller trade fairs without any problems. Aluminum surfaces and steel beams are recycled only after repeated use. At Blum, every step in manufacturing and worldwide distribution is checked for ecological optimization possibilities.
