Tip-on Blumotion
ARNO Design created the current trade fair stand for Julius Blum GmbH, the world’s leading manufacturer of kitchen and furniture fittings, at Interzum 2017 in Cologne. On 1028 square metres, the Vorarlberg-based company presents its entire product range in various segments: complete kitchen installations as well as spacious meeting areas find their place here. An exhibition stand for the latest tip-on mechanisms from Julius Blum was designed under the theme “Handleless and reliable opening”.
The eye-catcher of the stand is the three-dimensional crystal structure of the white façade. The Julius Blum GmbH logo in its corporate colour (CI colour) white/orange appears sporadically on the surfaces through a front projection. Two opposing strips of white and orange threads above the stand symbolise the unifying “Blum DNA” for quality and innovation. The large presentation areas inside are kept dark and the exhibits are staged in bright white. All products can be shown in operation here.
At the heart of the exhibition stand, visitors are informed about the latest mechanical opening support. Interactive exhibit walls visibly visualise the dynamism of the company, which is also reflected in the company motto “Perfecting Motion”. Tip-on mechanisms, which are concealed in the completely smooth surface, allow kitchen pull-outs to be opened and closed with a light tap. When the handleless pull-outs are opened, the interactive wall is activated and projections with information films are shown on the wall. A glimpse into the future for an intelligent handleless kitchen.
