Consistent design rigour in every detail
Hall C2 will be restructured and redesigned for Inhorgenta in 2013. Arno Design will use the centre axis of the hall as a platform for a joint stand. Here, young jewellery designers will present their own creations in the three special areas “Brand New – New Brand”, “Forum Silversmiths” and “Forum Innovation”.
Puristic aesthetics – inspired by De Stijl
ARNO opts for a clear, powerful structure in black and white and a uniform design inspired by De Stijl, a Dutch group of painters, architects and designers who established new design principles at the beginning of the last century and thus became an important pioneer of modern functionalist architecture and design. In keeping with their spirit, the stand concept is characterised by a few elementary principles: strictly geometric, unadorned abstract forms, an emphasis on horizontal and vertical lines and the non-colours black and white.
The stand is characterised by a strict and purist aesthetic. This is emphasised by the white carpet and the white fabric panels that divide the individual areas and are printed with the original De Stijl lettering.
Everything is consistently black and white: tables, poufs, lights. The furniture in each special area is either made of white-coated board material and black edge coating or vice versa.
In addition to the three special exhibitions, a bar lounge invites you to relax and a library lounge invites you to browse through specialised literature, which can also be purchased on request.
